I could only imagine the thoughts that ran through the minds of people when they saw this title. Let me assure you, we won’t be singing a gospel song this time, but maybe after reading this your heart may be singing a different tune. It’s been said that there is a light that shines within all of us that can brighten an entire room. Bruce Lee once said “No matter what, you must let your inner light guide you out of the darkness”. Sometimes those intelligent quotes are a little hard to live by when life is throwing all types of curve balls. As a person who stands as close to the truth as I can, I feel that it’s perfectly fine to say that sometimes my inner light finds itself on the verge of burning out.
Have you ever had those days when it’s a struggle to find the energy to be positive? What about those days when it’s hard to force yourself through a new day with the hopes of being productive? What about those days when life throws you those unexpected situations that nearly force you to call a “time out”? There will be times when you are going to want to turn around in life instead of moving forward. The worst feeling in the world is to be lost, alone, and in the dark. See one thing about your light that you must know is that no matter how dark times get or how hard the winds may blow, use 1 hand to cover your flame.Never allow anyone or anything to take away your light. This light that you were given must shine so that it can be a beacon of hope and a guide for many people. No matter how much the darkness tries to win, allow your little light to shine. I would like to encourage everyone who reads this post. Things may be rough right now and the tunnel may be a little dark, but whatever you do, don’t give up! The winds may blow and for a minute you may think that your flame has gone out, but just hold on. Hard times are sometimes blessings in disguise. In order to keep your flame lit, you’ll need to let the darkness go and allow it to make your light shine brighter. The great Maya Angelou once said “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within”. So I ask the question, will you continue to let your little light shine until it becomes as bright as the sun?
